Overlooking the Loch of Spiggie in the south mainland of Shetland, we offer 4 star B&B accommodation. It is the ideal choice for catching a glimpse of the interesting birdlife with the abundance of nesting birds, and the rare migrants that stop off to feed each year.

Long-eared OwlGuests are welcome to use our well established garden where they will find sheltered places to relax and enjoy the sunny days and long light evenings. There may be the chance to spot a rare bird as one of our regular bird watchers did when he spotted this Long-eared Owl.

With dramatic cliff top walks nearby and a natural environment steeped in history, the unique archaeological sites at St Ninians Isle, Jarlshof and Old Scatness, loch fishing and the popular sandy Spiggie Beach, Setterbrae is the ideal base for your visit to Shetland.

Shetland is also renowned for its outstanding music scene. Throughout the year Shetland plays host to the many music festivals, Shetland Folk Festival, Shetland Fiddle Frenzy, Shetland Accordion and Fiddle Festival and Blues Festival to name but a few.

Check out the Shetland Nature Festival held in July which covers many aspects of our unique natural heritage.
